Sheli Rhodes was introduced to dog obedience while living in California. After returning home to Virginia in 1983, she offered basic obedience classes on the grounds of Puppy Luv. In 1984, Sheli started offering courses at the Harrisonburg Recreation Department. In 1994, she was introduced to using positive reinforcement in obedience classes. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and a registered evaluator for the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen test(Evaluator number 3262). She also offers a class to prepare for that test.
